The annual Rotary Zones 33/34 You've Been Served initiative happens from February 23 to April 23, 2023. This initiative is designed to be a collaborative one that brings together Rotarians, Rotaractors, Interactors, and their clubs to demonstrate Rotary's motto of "Service Above Self" by challenging them to perform random acts of kindness and good deeds in their local communities. What an appropriate moment in time to serve others with kindness! #RotaryServes #YouveBeenServed
This is a "No Barriers" initiative in which ALL clubs, Rotarians, Rotaractors and Interactors are challenged to participate in activities that help their communities, raise awareness of the local and global work of Rotary, attract potential new members, engage existing members and inspire others. This initiative begins, Feb. 23, 2023, on Rotary's Anniversary and ends, Apr. 23, 2023, during the week of Rotary founder Paul Harris' birthday.
You are encouraged to be creative and have fun as you conduct good deeds and acts of kindness that serve your community. You may also invite others whether from within or outside your Club, District, Zone and Country to get in on the fun and help meet the challenge of the You've Been Served initiative! Whether you choose to host an event, implement a project, make a donation, volunteer your time or just help someone in need, use this website to submit and showcase your acts of kindness and service from Feb. 23, 2023 through Apr. 23, 2023.
You may download You've Been Served Cards to give to those you serve. The back of the card is blank to be personalized with the Club's name and/or a message of encouragement. In addition, clubs can share their stories of service on their club's social media sites and the Zones' social media sites using the You've Been Served logo and dedicated hashtag(s).
